Probably why none of that mayors that have banned events through 2020 have said that includes football.

Mayor of LA has said there won’t be sports in his city until 2021.

Mayor Eric Garcetti raised the issue during his weekly briefing Monday with a group of high-level staff from several departments, including Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas. Garcetti indicated during the conference call that “large gatherings such as concerts and sporting events may not be approved in the city for at least 1 year,” according to the email.

May not...

I know that’s just a statement from the Mayor and I haven’t read a proclamation but in the world of contracts, the word “may” has a lot of wiggle room.

The NFL is dumping billions into an HQ facility at that new Rams stadium. If the NFL wants games played, they’ll probably get the support from civic leaders. Still, might be empty stadiums— but they’ll play in L.A. if the NFL says play.
