re: Zucchini and Squash Pollination Question

Vegetable plants in general don’t need multiple plants for cross pollination - can’t think of any off-hand that do - but a fair number of fruit trees, not all of course, often do need different varieties (cultivars) for cross pollination to bear fruit, or at least to produce heavy fruit crops.
