I'm not making light of the abilities of our WR's at LSU. God knows that for the last several years, we have had some great WR's, from Michael Clayton to Josh Reed, and Bowe to Doucet, but I can't remember a time when we were so loaded at WR.

None of talking heads are looking at our WR unit as a top ten unit. They all say that we have a lot of talent, but stop short of full support.

I look at D. Byrd, who can fly, and catches everything, and ask..."Who can cover this guy?"

Brandon Lafelle had some issues last year, but I remember when Bowe and Early Doucet dropped some easy passes as youngsters too. LAFELLE IS ALWAYS OPEN!!!

Terrance Tolliver will probably be #3. He is an all around good WR. Great hands, blocks extremely well, and has great speed.

I hate to jinx us, but we have a better shot this year than most folks think!!

Couldn't agree more! We are still loaded everywhere! Could easily be back in the BCSNCG!

You can throw Richard Murphy in that mix, too, because he's going to be getting some catches out of the backfield, and he's going to be flying around with that ball.

+1000

And his hands improved tremendously as the season went along. IMO, his drops were more nerve related than poor hand eye (Not ready to be the #1 when ED went down).

Don't forget THE speedster Trindon Holliday. He's a fair bit shorter than the CBs of this day and age, but when you can just run past them, who needs height?

The only problem is that Trindon might wind up outrunning the pass

I love our current wideouts but I don't think this year is better than 06 with Bowe, Davis, and Doucet.

Honestly and I am not trying to diminish their abilities, but WR's are only as good as the QB's throwing it to them.
