Good for you. When I was a kid I got a pig from the Sears pig chain in our FFA chapter. It worked like this--Sears gave these 4h and FFA chapters across the country gilts as a promotion of some sort because they used to be big sellers of feed equipment. The kid that got one had to give a gilt back to the chapter out of the first litter. Our chain had been going for over 40 years. In three or four years I had sold probably 25 hogs. I showed them in the fair a couple of years. We had Hampshires.
