It depends on how far they are, and how rabid. I could not date and/or marry a legit socialist. I could also agree with someone politically, but if they are marching/protesting every other weekend that would probably be a deal breaker too.

Nobody on either end of the spectrum could coexist. If you're both more towards the middle, it's just a matter of acknowledging the other has something to offer and you're not right about everything.
