Great guitarist, my favorite. Also has some things out there that are not very well known and some people have made their own Youtube videos recreating some of his guitar work that shows the painstaking detail that he put into it

My all time favorite Queen song is a Brian May song called "All Dead, All Dead" from the News Of the World Album. There is a middle section that sounds like an organ or mellotron or something but is actually May creating a 15 part guitar orchestra. That little section is just about one minute long but the guy that created this video shows the painstaking work May put into it - "All Dead, All Dead" tutorial LINK

Brian May & Friends - Star Fleet Project from 1983 (the friends are Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alan Gratzer (of REO Speedwagon), Phil Chen (session bassist who played with Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart), and Fred Mandel (session keyboard player who also played as additional keyboard player on Queen's Hot Space World Tour and The Works). Roger Taylor, Queen's drummer, provided backing vocals for the title song). LINK
Track listing:
1. Star Fleet (Bliss/arr. May)
2. Let Me Out (May)
3. Blues Breaker (May/Van Halen/Gratzer/Chen/Mandel)

I have the Star Fleet album. It's a fun listen, nice to hear them just jamming and having a good time.

One of the first guys to use and popularize delay.

Brian May, Roger Taylor and Paul Rodgers made an album of all new material in 2008 called "The Cosmos Rocks" which I thought was pretty good. I might have been one of few people that actually purchased a copy LINK

Queen - Some Day, One Day from Queen II - written and sung by Brian May (background electric guitars always reminded me of Jimmy Page Zeppelin III style guitars) LINK
Queen - Good Company from A Night at the Opera - written and sung by Brian May and the Dixieland Jazz Band is actually Brian May creating the sounds of those instruments with his Red Special Guitar; damn near a genius - LINK
Queen - Leaving Home Ain't Easy - written and sung by Brian May - a favorite of mine - LINK
