If, as it seems, many places are at the plateau and will start heading down, we may have passed the main threat to hospital capacity. If some geniuses want to play darwinian roulette for themselves and their loved ones by mingling early, that might not be a bad thing. There will be more peaks, but some people exposing themselves early might spread them out so none is high enough to put a big squeeze on the hospitals.
