CNN - not critical infrastructure. Close them down.
Over-The-Air broadcasters? Critical infrastructure. Keep them open.

Becomes pretty hard to enforce that stay at home order when everyone is going
As if people have been staying home. If you have a business that is open now you have customers and stupid customers at that who have no respect for the people actually working.

So it’s wrong for people to shop at businesses that are open? Or are you insinuating that only certain businesses should be allowed to operate and only those particular workers should be protected?

That’s the opposite of what I’m saying- all workers should be protected and those that are supposed to stay their arse at home could at least show some concern for others when they get out of the house. No one (ok maybe 10%) of those going out are even feigning to social distance at all. The rest will lean in, get in your face etc.
Basically I fricking hate the public and this current situation isn’t helping.
My line is more niche but I can assure those Home Depot employees wish you’d take your arse home too right now instead of breathing their air.

quote:Walmart is still selling wreaths and stencils. All their essential grocery items are located in an area that takes up maybe 25% of Walmart's total floor space, yet 100% of the store is open for business. If things are so bad that Hobby Lobby should be forced to stay closed, why isn't Walmart being forced to rope off and close the 75% of their store that has all the crafts, clothes, sporting goods, and electronics sections? But meanwhile, their competitors in those departments are being told they need to stay closed.
one has toilets, building materials, appliances and shingles.
One has wreaths and stencils

When I tell my 8 year old no, he responds with “but so and so gets to do it”.
I see that logic never leaves some of us

Of course he didn’t say that. He is saying that if you are open you should provide the training, oversight, policies and procedures and equipment to protect employees and the public to the best of your ability

And how does he know Hobby Lobby would be worse at this than Walmart?

Do you think Home Depot or any other company would continue paying workers to be in a store with no customers?

Why put anyone at risk over styrofoam and cheap Chinese import crap?
Does your survival depend on food and medicine, or wooden dowels?
This really isn’t a hard question

Having something to do is important
Just allow only a limited number of people in at a time like the gas station down the street

DeWine pissed. He’ll shut them down tomorrow by force. He also intimated today to limit the number of customers in stores that remain open (I.e. grocery) to protect employees.
