As if

I can make an argument for Cam Newton. The SEC West was much harder in 2010 than it was in 2019

Auburn had considerably less talent to work with around Newton compared to Burrow.

And Newton did it in his first season

If you think that it’s some slam dunk answer that Burrow is the greatest QB in college football history, then you didn’t watch Vince Young or Cam Newton play

I watched both.
Both players were incredible college players.

Bitch please, quit acting like you have this full understanding of Auburn’s talent 10 years ago

Outside of usc Texas game how often did you watch VYoung play?

My money is on Joe.

I know what you mean here as in Joe was in his second season. But in JB's defense, he didn't have the offensive coordinators that Newton had his year at Auburn. If Burrow had Brady his first year with LSU, there is no telling what he could have done.

Say what you want about Malzahn as a head coach, but that offense they had was custom built for Newton, and he was made for that. Just like Burrow was made for Brady.

You can try to make any case you want about Cam Newton or any other QB in SEC History but the fact remains that is you pick just about any SEC Record or even National Record the name at the top of the list is probably Joe Burrow.

Possibly. The division posted all but 1 of the Top #6 picks in the 2011 draft, and an additional 4 in the first round (for a total of 9).

They had the offensive and defensive MVPs for the conference, and 4 other All Conference picks. Auburn led the conference with 4 unanimous All-SEC selections (Newton, Pugh, Fairley, Ziemba).

And despite having only Fairley as a "star" (Carter and Bynes were excellent, though), that defense was a fantastic, albeit dirty, defensive football team.

wrong. He had a better oline and Nick fairly was more disruptive on defense than anything we had.

with a very innovative offensive mind before defenses began to get a grip on how to defend the new offenses.

VY is laughable he's so dumb. Neither come close to Burrow on accuracy or brains so it is a slam dunk and yeah, I watched them play a lot. Neither also worked nearly as hard as Burrow and that's what separates Burrows and MJs and Tom Brady and Kobe: hard hard workers.

I don’t think you can look at LSU in 2019 and say that team had more talent than Auburn when Cam Newton was there. Based on pre-season expectation of LSU last year LSU wasn’t expected to do what they did; not anywhere close. LSU’s OL wasn’t predicted to be what they became. LSU’s WR productivity and depth wasn’t anticipated by anyone outside of the LSU family.

LSU coaches should get a ton of credit for “developing” players in 2019. 2019 LSU was made into the team it became. That team was created and developed. As far as “talent” compared to Auburn I’d bet Auburn was every bit as talented out of high school; if not more so. LSU may have done a better job of developing players but that’s a different metric than comparing shear talent. The numbers 2019 LSU put up were truly staggering. I give much of the credit to coaching and the Lion’s share to Joe Burrow. Barring injury, I think Joe Burrow will prove to be a better QB in the NFL than Cam Newton.

Joe Burrow beat 7 top 10 teams in one year, and had great stats against every team he played.

You sure about that?

There were 4 10 win teams in that division. Auburn was damn lucky to beat unranked Clemson at home.
See clip at 445
Did Joe ever make a throw similar to that?

Also if Ingram doesn’t fumble up three scores in Bryant Denny.... they lose there too. It was a frickin blow out.
The first minute here.

Simply put Cam Newton was a great player and even comparing the two is tough because of contrast of styles but damn bro I can think of like 5 or less times this past season where I thought Joe threw a bad pass. Cam was not and still is not a passer. 2019 LSU murders 2010 Auburn by three or more scores. Anyways your wrong. Joe is the better QB. Even in the National Title Cam got lucky with the bullshite his knee was down fiasco.
