I know I'm good with my doctor getting 70% of the surgery correct. That counts as passing, right?

Hate to tell you, but there are plenty of doctors out there that finished in the bottom percentage of their class.

The United States Medical Licensing Exam Step 1 is moving to pass/fail scoring in 2 years. Some medical schools already do Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading. So, we live in a “just enough to get by” world.

It’s good enough for being a airline pilot, all the FAA written tests require 74% to pass, you get nothing extra for making a higher score making them essentially P/F.
