You don’t know what Bell’s original asking price was. It sounds similar to Ingram. Ingrams agent reportedly wanted 8+ million per year. The Saints said no and valued him around 5 per year. They gave him a deadline, he didn’t budge, so they signed Murray. Bell gave the Saints a price, the Saints said no. We signed Jenkins because we weren’t going to wait for Bell to realize his markets wasn’t what he was hoping it would be. Had we waited we may have missed on both. Smart business decision by the Saints FO and it is how negotiations should be handled.

The ball was in Bell’s court and he held out for a bigger payday. It didn’t work out for him and he was left with his dick in his hand.
