This IMO is honestly the most egregious. The overwhelming majority of Congressional members do absolutely nothing but socialize.
They’ll complain of the cost of living in DC, without acknowledging that it’s so expensive to live there because Congress spent the last 70 years establishing and enriching the lobbying industry. The socioeconomic situation in the District, south central Maryland and NOVA are entirely creations of Congress.
I quite frankly enjoy that members of Congress can’t afford to live there.
