Parcells was still the Giants coach in 1990.

I have a NFL pro set prospect card signed by him. Should I keep waiting to see if its value rises? LOL

The back of the card does say he holds 19 school and 6 SEC records. First player to throw for 2K yrds in four consecutive years. Finished 12th on all time NCAA list.

That's not long. He had already been on the backup circuit for a lot of those years.

On February 2, 2005, the Boston Globe wrote a feature[1] checking up on the former Patriot quarterback. In the article, the Globe quotes Hodson as saying: "Although I didn’t have great success as a professional I played six years and it was a great honor to play in the NFL. I am grateful I was able to play six years.” The Globe reported that Hodson lives in Baton Rouge with his wife and his 10-year-old identical twin daughters, and quoted Hodson as saying that he lives in Baton Rouge because he has "fond memories" at LSU and because Baton Rouge is "a good place to raise a family.”

7 years in the NFL is double the average length of an NFL career.

Big Hodson fan. I always wondered what would have happened if Hodson had been drafted by the 49ers and say Joe Montana had been drafted by a crappy team instead of the 49ers (I know Hodson came along about ten years later).

I remember that LSU played Notre Dame during the Hodson era and beat them. Burlein was the QB. Anyon who saw that game could easily see Hodson was WAY better than Burlein. But Burlein had a 15-yearl NFL career, includinhg several years as a starter and played well in some big games. Never made sense to me.

How many people are 1st team SEC for four years????

Hodson may have thrived under another system. Patriots sucked back then.

We would be talking about Joe Montana winning 4 super bowls with some other team. Btw, the 49ers were crappy when he was drafted.

Horible. They were 12-4 the year before he was drafted.

With all due respect to our championship quarterbacks Hodson is probably my favorite LSU quarterback.
