I'm not an expert, just speculating, but are you claiming that they aren't testing on the chimps at all in Covington?

There are plenty of humans who are safe to test on and who are actually susceptible to the virus. It would another mutation presumably to make chimps susceptible.

ETA: this is a mild cold for a gigantic majority of young healthy humans. No reason to skew the results unnecessarily with healthy chimps.
