Yeah that's how scientists talk, He is not a politician that talks in definitive statements amounting to horse shite. His field of science in epidemiology is to make models of pathogens and learn about their spread and their model shows that 40-70 people will get it. Models can of course be wrong but just because you don't like what someone says doesn't make it any less credible.
