Let them use their quote and their guy, but draw up an agreement that says when the work is finished the floor will be restored to the way it was before the damage. If their guy screws the pooch, then you can wring em in court for the damages and breach of contract.

That could be a viable option along with getting an attorney if needed.
The kicker in all of this is we plan on putting our house up for sale in a couple months. Couldn’t have happened at worse time.
