If they had played their best and the coach had made better decisions we could have won the two games we lost...but the season is young and we have great players, that could go all the way........

I love Beth Torina and am DAMN glad she is the LSU head coach.
But, I really wish she would let someone else coach 3rd base. That is her achilles heel. I have watched a lot of softball and baseball at every level and she is the absolute worst 3rd base coach I have ever seen. I am relieved beyond belief when LSU hits a home run and it's not just for the run(s) at that moment.
If they kept stats for runners thrown out at 3rd base and home plate, LSU would have to be tops in the nation every year.
As bad as people say getting thrown out at home for the 3rd out is, I think it is even worse for the 1st or 2nd outs. At least then you still have a chance to have someone sacrifice a run in. Beth is not very good at that.

Coach Beth Torina knew she was getting someone special in Taylor Pleasants.
First Team All-District infielder. Junior National Team Gold Medalist.
The expectations were palpable, and in her first month with LSU softball, she knocked it out of the park.
twitter / HValentine LSU
LSU Article:
True Freshman Taylor Pleasants thought she had her nerves under control when the first pitch of her first collegiate at-bat was delivered on opening night.
Then she stepped out, took the second pitch, and her heart started pounding.
Entering with lofty expectations as a freshman, Pleasants needed little time to make some noise in her first collegiate game, doubling into the right-center field gap in the bottom of the fourth for her first career hit.
With LSU sitting at 16-3 overall heading into March, Pleasants currently leads the team in runs (19) and hits (18), while hitting .375 and slugging .604. With each game, she seems to be getting more comfortable at the plate.
It's only a month into her first season, but it gets you thinking: how special can Pleasants be in her time at LSU?

Crazy that the “GM” of football is bashing another coach in another sport on a message board from within the AD.

If you ever watched an LSU softball game you would realize it is not bashing.

Maybe because I don't have a weird phobia about women like some on this board.
Don't be jealous bro, it's a bad look.

I know its fun and all to ogle over 18-20 year old coeds and I get it.
But realistically those days are behind me. And that's ok.
Not sure how not going after some girls close to half my age makes me have a phobia of women.
