The diversion flow being cut back and made seasonal was the major factor, Davis Pond is not a sediment diversion though it has built some land. The Florida-strain stocking is what got KVD that big bag record but was just icing on the cake of the river water making it an awesome fishery, which it still would be today had oystermen not bitched and lobbied to have it scaled back. This is why we can’t have nice things.
