Taking Burrow #1 is a NO LOSE situation for the Bengals since every draft 'expert' & former NFL GMs agree that JB is the best NFL ready QB & the Bengals desperately need a franchise QB. If Burrow is a bust (highly doubtful) then EVERYONE that gets paid to evaluate NFL Draft picks will also have gotten it wrong!

If you think that doesnt matter to a NFL GM or Player Personnel guy then youre just being naive or dont jnow much about the NFL. You also have to take into account the Bengals just plain terrible history of wasting 1st Rd picks on player that never panned out. Especially 1st Round QB's like '92-David Klingler & '99-Akili Smith. Carson Palmer was a legit 1st Rd QB pick in 2003 but hes an anomaly for the Bengals.

This is the most important factor. Yes, NFL team executives are trying to make their teams better, but they are also trying not to get fired. Passing on Joe Burrow has a higher probability of getting someone fired than drafting him does.
