Honestly, I learned, it's a lot more about the person than it is about their circumstances.
Step kids thrown in the mix complicates things. But it can be a positive too, if the kids like you and have no present father in their life.

If I’m forced to start over I think I would want someone with kids this time
Then I could at least be a stepmom
My friend is my age and has no kids. She is marrying a guy with daughters who adore my friend. His ex wife gets along great with my friend as well (the two text each other all the time about the girls and their school stuff).

Very true.
I think we are quick to stereotype 30+ single women because of the vocal ones that stick out in our minds, but tons of perfectly decent people are single by no choice of their own.
