That’s what you fish in wading rivers up north, you need the insulation in that cold water. I have the sock feet with boots made for it but I would use my duck hunting waders on the coast.

Not really, most guides wear Simms breathables with felt soled boots for the rocks. Neoprene can be used but they sweat and limit mobility when making long wades.
