What's the mental error? Not covering on the steal?
There was something beyond that as well that I can't remember.
I know the error in game one was bad bounce luck. We may have had guys in the past that could knock it down, but I don't think we had anyone that is getting the out at first on that ball.
ETA: I'm starting to wonder if Hughes was playing tight in the field because he knew he was on a short leash?

I mentioned this earlier, but how can anybody say with any certainty that this was on Hughes?
Beloso wasn't holding. That's a fact. If he was supposed to be, blame falls on him (I don't see him getting any). If he wasn't supposed to be, then they were given the base (you can argue if that was the wrong call or not, but that isn't a Hughes issue) and nobody should have been covering. That puts the fault on Milazzo for throwing the ball.
I also don't remember the exact situation, or who was batting. Do we know for certain it wouldn't have been Doughty who was supposed to cover?
My point is, are we blaming Hughes because his name is Hughes? Or is there other stuff that I don't know about, where it's known that Hughes was at fault?
