To be fair, I thought his reasoning for it possibly being an idol was fair. It was the same Fleur De Lis as a hidden immunity idol he had seen already, and this show is known for some odd twists. His absolute certainty it was one early in the episode was a bit much, but I don't blame him for at least trying to save himself.

I was hoping after Jeff baited him with that comment that the whole group would have rushed the podium. That would have been comedy gold.
