Maybe, but ole black face beat the ever living dog shite (9 points) out of Gillespie, who by all accounts was a decent mainstream GOP conservative. And this was 2017, the year after Trump won.
You can’t tell me you actually believe there’s no relation between those two events. Parts of VA (like chesterfield) that hadn’t gone blue since the 60s even flipped.
