YouTube and forums can teach anyone. You have to think many of the mechanical experts we pay to fix our stuff weren't smart, they just can follow processes.
Transmissions scare people because they are complex. The hydraulic valve body is one complex system then the internal drives are another complex system. The key is keeping everything organized and clean. Im only focusing on the valve body so there transmission stays on vehicle.
Im a novice and have only rebuilt one transmission ( a dodge 46re) this is just a simple valve body job.
