This is a problem - if you're clued into all that from a historical standpoint, the Manson murders hang over the entire film like an unseen character. The ending has 1000x the impact in my opinion if you're aware of what actually happened.

If you went into the film knowing little to nothing about the Manson Family, then I don't see how the film has anything like the impact intended.

I actually enjoyed it more on second viewing at home. Not saying I didn’t like it when it came out in theaters but I did fell a little let down. Probably something to do with all the hype and build up
