Sure, but that doesn’t change the fact that the overwhelming majority of Dermatologist are not trained to do Mohs surgery. In my city of over 500,000 people there are exactly two docs trained to do it, and only one is a Dermatologist.

I think he meant to have a plastic surgeon clean up the mess and make it presentable. My MOHS surgeon was a dermatologist and she did a bang up repair job. I had an excision and then in about an hour she called me back in and pared some more off. I'm glad I didn't see the gaping hole. But it looks ok now.
