Exactly! Protection rackets are a big business in prison.
True story. Bernie Madoff has cornered the hot chocolate market (big business) at Butner where he is incarcerated. He had also formed a fast friendship with Carmine 'The Snake' Persico. One of the most feared mob bosses ever. Persico passed away this past year.
People with money have no problem in prison.
