I don't disagree that she shouldn't make overtly partisan displays like tonight and that goes against tradition but sending her copies of the SOTU is absurd. Yes she is the leader of the House but she also still is only beholden to her constituents. Treating every random Representative like they represent the country and not just their district is one of the reasons federalism has been destroyed.

Sow the winds, reap the whirlwind.
She has made herself the face of a movement to oust a President and done a terrible job of it at that. I’d say anything she gets now is solely because of her actions. She can’t have it both ways.

She is the fricking Speaker, not "a random representative". She is 3rd in the line of succession
