The reality is, in order to pull off what Bama does (and a few others sometimes) - in attaining the best case scenario after missing on a higher priority recruit, you have to be willing to really hurt some kids ON signing day.

You have to keep those on-the-bubble kids happy, committed, and thinking they’ll be signing on signing day... till you get that higher priority recruit earlier that day.

And that’s when you have to tell the lesser recruit “sorry, we don’t have a spot for you”.
