this. Same thing happened flying into fort Lauderdale last year. Pilot said "we're starting our final descent. Once we get below these clouds, the wind is about 40 knots. Keep your seatbelts on" no lie we were at about a 45 degree angle all the way down and at the last millisecond, the pilot did something, lined us out, hit the runway, and that's all she wrote. it was bad A

the pilot did something,
ETA: each airplane has a max crosswind limit, 60 knots probably exceeds all airliners, except in an emergency maybe
