I understand what you're saying, but again, the logical endpoint of that perspective is that anything could go just because it's a football game. If you are just saying it's "different rules", then it reverts back to being just a spectrum of allowable behaviors and not an actual principle. Is there anything that could be chanted at the stadium that would cause you to unequivocally say it was wrong?

Honestly, I think STTDB is pretty bad and I wish people wouldn't say it (although I did think it was awesome at the national championship game). It doesn't offend me though and it doesn't diminish my experience at the game and I would treat it with my young kid the same way as any other behavior that I didn't want her to repeat.
