Neck needs to go away. It is vulgar and indecorous. What is the point aside from appealing to the least common denominator?

Just to be clear you're referring to LSU students as the least common denominator here, correct?

The song? The chant? Both?

I ask because I see nothing inappropriate about the song itself, unless I’m missing something.

If it’s the chant that bothers you, that’s a fair take. But why direct your angst toward a single song when the chant has been incorporated into nearly everything the band plays?

If there’s something inherent in the song that I’m missing please forgive me. If it’s the chant that is the root of the objection, Neck is probably the single best song the band has played to which the chant has been attached.

If they’re going to chant it to everything, why avoid playing the best song since not playing it isn’t going to stop the chant from taking place?

Seems the debate should be whether LSU should just do away with having a marching band altogether, and/or piped-in music at sporting events. Since any music is apparently an invitation for the chant, why single out that one song?
