Kinda depends on where you are. You can wake up in San Marcos and it'll be 85 and sunny in the morning. You're thinking "Beach!". Then you get over the hill to the coast and it's cool and foggy. No sun.
I lived in OB for a while. You get that morning fog in summer, but by 11:30 a.m. it is warm and sunny under blue skies.
I loved San Diego. The Chargers never should have left.
