I imagine dealing with the Chinese govt under these circumstances is a colossal PITA.

I’ve read/seen a lot of stuff on the internet and yes, I can get overly concerned with natural disasters, etc., and I would gladly welcome a de escalation to this. The problem is there are too many unknowns. Number infected? Unknown. Mortality rate? Unknown. Route of contagion? Unknown. Treatment? Unknown. Can we trust the Chinese govt?

What do we know? shite is hitting the fan in China. The are a growing number of cases in the United States. The sense of severity and alarm with news reports is increasing.

Maybe I’m just focused to much on this, but I am worried this will be more serious than SARS, Murs, or bird/swine flu.
