I know a pretty wealthy guy who has stockpiled a lot of weapons, food and vehicles for this reason. Like, hundreds of not thousands.

To me, it looks less like "survival" or prepping, and more like someone who wants to rule the rubble and become something akin to Negan from The Walking Dead or Lord Humungus from The Road Warrior

I think the rich ones would get killed by their own people inside of a week. That's just a natural progression after the loss of society, authority and all criminal consequences.

I don't think any of us could handle real Armageddon. Some would survive, of course, but I think it would have more to do with luck than anything else.

I think before it really gets to that point, super rich people will isolate themselves in compounds, with supplies. I also think they'll employ former special ops types ala Academi/Blackwater. Our politicians will eventually protect the people I'm talking about with our armed services before it gets to the point you're talking about anyway.
