quote:
She has been going to Texas Children’s Hospital for treatment. Her parents have looked into their options, and Texas Children’s is in the top three, and the difference between #1 and #3 in less than one percent, so they feel comfortable with that option. Also, given their proximity to Houston and the fact that one of her brothers already receives treatment for a heart condition at TCH, the family is planning to continue using that hospital.
Unfortunately, Julia Cate has the T-cell type of ALL, which is harder to treat. Her induction was a failure, and she is returning to TCH on Tuesday to begin a more aggressive treatment regimen.
Please, please, please come to the benefit tomorrow if you are able to do so. If not, please keep her in your prayers. She is a sweetheart of a little girl who just turned three, and we all love her so very much. Please also pray for her parents and siblings. Chuck and Jessica have been devastated by this recent news, and they could use all your positive thoughts and prayers. Not only that, but JC’s grandfather (Jess’s dad), just learned that he has cancer as well, so the whole family is really struggling right now.
Tigeralum, I will also pray for your son’s continued good health. He’s a warrior!
Man, that's a lot for a family to handle...especially an innocent 3yo battling for her life. Positive vibes incoming from ATL. Glad to hear the fundraiser was a success.
