Honest question from a novice: Is buyers and sellers even really a thing in the NBA? I always thought that was primarily a MLB thing and is due at least partly to the extensive minor league system they have where when a team knows they aren't going anywhere this year, they can trade a current stud for a couple of promising but young studs in another team's farm system.
