Seeing as we likely go to a 4-3 w/ a new DC, my guess is he’s moved to safety

Who is all saying this??? We have the players for 3-4 & have been recruiting these guys for years... How long did it take us to get the right guys in place? 4-3 is ok but u have to be able to play 3-4 also... It's all depending on roster and personnel right now I would think we are 3-4 with some 4-3 packages... We have to have both but no way we should be primarily 4-3 just yet

You have five scholarship inside linebackers for next year. That's it.

You don't have personnel for a 3-4. You have personnel for a shifting 4-3 that uses a nose guard.

You think you don't have 4-3 defensive ends? Really? Go back and look up who played defensive end at LSU when we've been a 4-3 defense. There is no definition of a 4-3 defensive end. Tyson Jackson, Melvin Oliver, Gabe Northern, Marcus Spears, Lewis Neal and Barkevious Mingo have all played a 4-3 defensive end at LSU and been damned good at it.

Feel free to explain how a Marcus Spears or Tyson Jackson is a 4-3 defensive end and Neil Farrell is not. Happy to listen.

Agreed. If the new DC is more comfortable with a 4-3 that’s ok but really not for next year. We have a few guys who can play 4-3 but they would need a solid recruiting class to fill out the roster for a full transition. IMO I’m ok with either 3-4 or 4-3 depending on personnel. They can both work but only with the proper players for each. ?????

We never had a dominant NT and now we have 2...maybe 3. But let’s just move back to a 4-3 base. Makes sense.
