Lots of diseases get too far along for treatment to work. I believe a ZPak for the flu needs to be taken in the beginning.

Covid has roughly a 99.5% chance of survival without any meds
So, far someone to say "my medicine works as long as the person takes it before they are really sick" is bullshite
