Totally agree about Blair. Very disappointed in his calls during this amazing run. The regular tv broadcast was always more exciting. When CBS would replay the play of the game first as broadcast and then as Blair called it, the tv broadcast was always way more exciting. I started out watching the ESPN Hometown broadcas during the National championship game and it nearly put me to sleep. Chris Fowler was WAY more exciting to listen to. I miss Hawthorne- he seemed to care. I know I’ve seen videos of Blair doing play by play and he looked excited but sure didn’t sound like it in his voice.

Sometimes you have to let these folks grow on you. They're an acquired taste if you wilk. I spent many nights by the radio listening to John Ferguson. When Walter Hill came alone I spent a couple of years comparing him to Ferguson. Eventually you accept that the predecessor is gone and not coming back. Time moves on. Same case with Blair.
