Chizik is a Broyles award winning defensive coach.
He also knows that half the battle is recruiting elite talent on a consistent basis.
My only concern would be that he's been out of the game for a few years.

I think he'd be more than ok... He's been working analyzing football, plus with O's deep connections to seemingly everyone, I'm sure he'd get all the refreshers he needed

People forget this because of how he ended up at Auburn as HC, but he was a top DC before he made the leap to head coach. He also did pretty solid work at UNC considering that Larry Fedora was running that program off a cliff at the time. They had a very impressive turnaround his first year before the bottom fell out.
I doubt he leaves his studio job to go back to the grind at this point, but we’ll see.
