That is neither what the show is about nor is it the reason why there won’t be a season two.

Uh, did you watch the show? Hooded Justice was a married black man on the downlow. You know, the Klan hating black guy who loved to rail white guys in the arse. Its not in HBO’s 1 season mini series type category, like The night Of. They intended to milk that cow, but dont want to do it without Damon so they gave up on making season 2. The show didn’t end on its own, it was canceled.

It ended on its own because the creator of the show decided the story was complete and walked away. That’s like saying The Sopranos was cancelled. HBO should have continued it without David Chase?
That being said, my bet is Lindelof will be back with a new season in 2-3 years. Too much money to be made.

Yes it did. The creator only wanted one season and created a completely self contained season of TV.
If he called them tomorrow and said he wanted to do season 2 it would be given all the budget he wanted.
