I'm just not getting the insistence on complicating the matter. It's as simple as this: Hollywood film industry is like a corporation. Young ladies were endeavoring to work their way up in the corporation. Man in position of power over said young ladies used that position of power to extort the young ladies for sex.
No different than a corporate executive telling a person that they will never achieve their goal of moving up in said corporation unless they have sex with the executive. No matter how qualified they may be. Who in their right mind doesn't immediately see that this practice is highly frowned upon in our society.
