I really hope we don’t enter a war with Iran

I support wiping out the POS and wouldn’t give it a second thought if it were my call.
That said, I truly hope we don’t enter another never ending war in another ME country. Praying for military families who just had loved ones deployed recently and those already there.

I hope every soul on here feels this way. Iran likely ain’t gonna bust a move. If they do, we just need to obliterate them without boots on the ground.

I agree. Nobody in their right mind wants war, it is awful! I don’t want to see Trump get lured into this because I don’t think it will create support like war has in the past. Our nation has changed a lot in the last 20 years.

Same here. If we do, Trump is going all in. Iran's nuclear capability will be obliterated.

This is the latest media campaign into scaring people by saying the United States could bring back the Draft, going to war with Iran, ie.

The older I get the more I appreciate that the young are thrown into the fire. AKA I’d rather hell rain down as inhumane as it may be.

Let's hope that Iran has a brain.

We should all convert to Islam if we need a draft to whip Iran.

We are closer than we have ever been to war with Iran. They had gotten cocky of late, thinking they were free to do as they pleased, almost daring the US to do anything.
Well, now it’s put up or shut up time for them. If they do strike back, we are very likely going to attack the 52 sites President Trump has designated as targets. This will, IMO, cause the regime in power there to collapse and a more secular government to emerge. There is a great desire amongst young Iranians for a more open country that participates in world affairs.

With drones and robots we don't really need to put our kids in harms way.

No offense, but I don’t care about Trump in this scenario in terms of political backing. If you didn’t mean that then apologies...
These wars in the ME tend to last longer than the POTUS that was in office

The thing is, for once, this would involve Iran having to leave their own country to take the fight to us instead of the other way around.
Now I know this can be somewhat debated given how friendly Shiite Iraqi politicians are with Iran, but point stands. Iran has to carry the fight to us outside their borders, giving us an inherent advantage and the luxury of tracking and hammering any substantial operations at will.
All they have left are terrorist and cyber attacks, but this would be nothing new as we’ve been fighting them on that front the entire past decade.
Any missile attacks on our naval and land assets will be met with an overwhelming and disproportionate response, something they are now keenly aware of after we kicked them in the face by easily knocking off their top general.
In short: we get to choose the location of the battle and not them, and rest assured we will have complete air and tactical superiority similar to that time the Russian mercenary force thought they could overwhelm our troops guarding the oil fields.
I think our nation building fiascos have made some of the world’s bad actors forget just how insanely powerful and efficient our military is at doing its actual job: killing people and winning wars. Saddam Hussein made the same mistake and paid dearly. Iran may be next.

Oh, great. Surgical strikes and clean warfare.
Will we ever learn?

The war would be by sea only IMO. Taking out their SAM sites then bunker buster their centrifuges. Fly home with the W.

We haven't spoken to our adopted son in over a month despite countless attempts through different ways.
He is stationed on the docked USS GHWB Aircraft Carrier. Yet he is in intelligence.
He likely was moved to another ship in preparedness we assume.

I really don’t think the feeling of a win would be realistic but removing the threat I will take

But Jesus H let there be no US casualties. The 3 dead in Kenya made me pause. Very sad
