Long shot at best. They’d have to schedule a few big time non conference games, blow everyone else out and pass the “eye test.” Just not likely imo

Said it a million times. Conferences send a single team to be considered. Never ever two teams from the same conf. with a four team playoff.

The UCF's of the world should be doing everything they can to schedule one game a year with the likes of Michigan, Texas, Notre Dame type teams for big game exposure. If they lose then make it up in the year and go to second tier bowl like they likely would have anyway. If they win and then win out they then would have a legitimate shot in a year like this one where two P5 conference champs have 1 loss.
