I think Brent Venables at Clemson is in the same situation. I think he’s waiting till a really good head coaching job comes his way and not the first one. I think Brady when’s he older might take a job like a USC, Florida State or Texas. Brady is still learning and a good recruiter. Aranda on the other side is in a different situation. UNLV is not a power 5 job. They were going to pay him $1.5m whilst he is payed $2.5m here, UNLV’s pitch was that they were the only show in town which they were not because of the Raiders moving there and that they would build a $35m new football facility because there are high school facilities way better than that. The other problem with Aranda becoming a head coach is his recruiting. He’s not known to be a terrific recruiter. Successful head coaches are great recruiters. Look at Dabo and Saban. They also have to be able to build a brand and become one of these schools kids dream of gong to which I think he would be good at.
