I lost one last year that was an above average deer for where I hunt.. two days two dogs and 3 miles and went back a 3 rd day and jumped him again by myself without the dogs.. I figured if he made it 3 days he might live but he was 100 yards from where we left him with the dogs because we were just pushing him
