When compared to many other similar activities golf is equally time consuming that my other friends do. Hunting, Fishing, LSU Sports, Smoking Meats, Camping/Hiking for example. There are others.

None of my friends are playing pickle ball. I am slow on trends though. So, maybe we are all behind on that. My 68 year old mother loves it though.

I use to have season tickets for Auburn football, but I live more than 3 hours away and it seemed to just absorb a great deal of free time.

I usually go to a game a year now.

You are right about hobbies. Anything can be expensive.

I have not figured out how to play in the dark.

For some reason at our club many of the tennis players have started playing pickleball.
It’s a blast. Our pros have even come out with us some. It’s amazing how much running you do in singles.
