It will correct itself when we have the next big MAJOR war (on our soil), true economic/technologic collapse, or major natural catastrophe-- any of which requires 100% focus day-to-day survival.

At that point all these drama-figs will be dead on the first week and we can get back to the business of normalcy after the cultural bowel-cleanse.
